The White Tree Hostel where Kesley, another Fulbright ETA, and I stayed upon arrival. The embassy dropped us off during the day, and it just looked like a little, cozy cafe. But at night, the tree is lit up and it's so cute. However, they don't do too well with reservations. Our confirmed reservation was for three nights, and they only had us down in their books for one... |
The Newborn monument--erected when Kosovo declared its independence in 2008. Each year, they're decorating the monument differently. This year, it's camouflage. Not as popular as last year's flags of the world, so I'm excited to see what they do next.
This little cat is everywhere in Prishtina. We haven't figured out what it means or why it's such a popular graffiti design, but the investigation is not over! Will report back.
